極貧栄養環境で生きる緑のラッパムシ、細胞内に大量のデンプン粒を貯蔵

共生する緑色藻が光合成を担い、宿主繊毛虫がデンプンを貯蔵: 植物様のストラテジーで純水並みの超貧栄養環境に適応するラッパムシ Stentor pyriformisを報告しました。
